The Community Green Space is centrally located in the heart of downtown Boone, at the corner of 8th and Story Street. This space has been developed through the generous work and donations of the community. The goal of the Community Green Space is to accommodate for the annual Christmas tree, local artist’s work, community gatherings, and made available to our community to rent for special occasions such as: weddings, parties, and family reunions, to name a few.
The Following Rules Apply to the Rental of the Community Green Space:
Hours available for rent: 5:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Renters are responsible for all cleanup, including: trash/debris on grounds and emptying trash receptacles. If not cleaned up properly the cost will be assessed to the renter.
Renters are responsible for keeping sidewalks clear of debris.
No open fires or fireworks.
Alcohol:
- No alcohol will be allowed without an Alcohol License.
- Alcohol dispensing will require a liquor license and follow all State and City laws.
- Liquor Licenses will be approved on a case by case basis by the City Council.
- Alcohol dispensing will require a four (4) foot fence barrier or the hiring of an off-duty Boone Police Officer.
- Fencing:
- The City has available for rent a four (4) foot fence barrier at a cost of $300.00 per event.
- The Renter is responsible for the setup and taking down of the fence.

Food Trucks:
- All food truck vendor are required to obtain a Mobile Food License from the City of Boone.
- Have a valid Food License from the State of Iowa Department of Inspections.
- Complete an inspection from the Boone Fire Department.
Portable toilets are the responsibility of the renters and must meet the required number based upon the number of attendees.
Tables, chairs, and picnic tables are the responsibility of the renters.
Tents are allowed, but only surface mounted tents with bag weights - NO STAKES.
Loud music and noise must comply with the Boone City Ordinance Chapter 52.
Animals must be on a leash.
No vehicles on the grass.
Damage to the space will result in assessment of the cost for the repairs to the renter.

Monday through Thursday Rental $100.00 per day
Friday through Sunday Rental $125.00 per day
