The Council consists of seven (7) Council Members; two (2) Council Members are elected at large and one Council Member from each of the five (5) wards are elected for overlapping terms of four (4) years.
The Council’s main responsibilities include:
- Appropriating all funds; audit, approve and order payments of invoices, bank accounts, payroll and claims
- Make all assessments for the cost of street improvements, sidewalks, sewers and other work, improvements or repairs
- Authorize the execution of all contracts
Meeting Schedule:
- The Council meets on the first and third Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. on the second floor of the City Hall.
